It is situated on a spectacular coastline characterized by beaches and coves of fine, white sand that alternate with curving red granite cliffs which create a wonderful contrast with the transparent emerald-coloured sea.

The location is an ideal starting point for scuba diving to discover underwater walls full of sea daisies (parazoantos) and red coral (corallum rubrum), canyons full of fish and dream-like caves. It is possible to rent boats for deep sea fishing, sailing and dinghies for independent excursions at the town’s marina.
